The Ersamed REF-104 knee brace features a semi-open upper design, making it very easy to put on. It stays in place securely without slipping or shifting while walking. The brace is distinguished by its softness and high flexibility, which allows it to conform closely to the limb and ensures proper compression of the knee joint.
The REF-104 brace provides a compression effect, which helps reduce exudation, minimize swelling, and relieve pain. An anatomically shaped silicone ring provides excellent stabilization of the patella and prevents it from dislocating. The product is equipped with two independent VELCRO fastening straps for enhanced fixation and stabilization on the knee.
Additionally, the REF-104 brace features a system of two polycentric metal hinges, which ensure strong lateral stabilization of the joint. Each hinge includes a hyperextension lock that maintains the knee at a 5° flexion angle, allowing the brace to be used in extreme conditions, such as during sports training or physical exertion.
The material is soft and highly elastic. The area under the orthosis is ventilated and maintains appropriate warmth. It is a non-woven fabric with no coarse fibers, which means it won't irritate or chafe the skin. The material is also water-resistant.
